Situated in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, the building reveals a neoclassical style, especially in the room definition. It is organized around an honour court-yard rich in arcades on both sides. You can enter from a carriageable entrance that is paved with granite plates decorated with a geometrical grecque. The access to the staircase connecting the ground floor to the noble floor is possible through the west porch of the courtyard. It has a balustrade in decorated stone and the walls are painted with typical objects of the 19th century. The first floor hosts the most representative halls, which preserve stuccoes and paintings of great importance and fineness such as the honour hall, known as “Sala del ratto di Deianira da parte del Centauro Nesso” (Hall of the Deianira’s abduction by the centaur Nesso) from the round painting on the ceiling depicting that mythological scene. In another smaller room, called “Enea and Didone”, one can admire the valuable decorations of stuccoes and paintings. The four round paintings depict the sad facts of the escape of Enea from Troy, the meeting with Didone and the Queen’s death. Today, the palace appears in the plan ordered by the reworking interventions made by Architect Ignazio Melchione around in the end of the 19th century. In the half 19th century, the palace entered the properties of the Bellini family of Oleggio, while today it is divided into various private properties, the municipal part included.
