Starting from Legro where the railway station is located, you take a path that leads to Corconio and then you get to the Torre di Buccione. From the fortification you can admire the panorama of the island to the north and the view towards the plain of Gozzano and Borgomanero to the south.
From here continue through Bolzano Novarese, Gozzano to reach Briga Novarese with the ancient church of San Tommaso, located on a hill not far from the town center. It is a beautiful example of Romanesque architecture of the year 1000. Inside you can admire an important cycle of frescoes dating back to the first half of the 11th century.
Then take the road to Borgomanero that you cross through the church of San Leonardo to get to Cureggio with its Romanesque baptistery in front of the church dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta is the goal of this stage.
